Personally, I think that if you are ten years and up (or whatever your age may be), and you feel like you need to make a life decision like this, you need to get help. Do not be afraid of what could happen, where you could be taken, and please do not be scared of the people who love you. These people are only trying to help you and see you get better. Do not fear help, help is only there to make things better.
  • Suicide is the SECOND leading cause of death for ages 10-24. (2013 CDC WISQARS)
Full Definition of SUICIDE
1 a :  the act or an instance of taking one's own life voluntarily and intentionally especially by
a person of years of discretion and of sound mind

  • More teenagers and young adults die from suicide than from cancer, heart disease, AIDS, birth defects, stroke, pneumonia, influenza, and chronic lung disease, COMBINED.
Honestly, does anyone see the problem here? We live in a society today where people would rather die than to live the “American Dream”. Kids, teens, and adults are all committing suicide because they feel they are not wanted, or needed. These people just need to know they are loved, cared about, and important. This is their cry for help and the love they have not gotten.
  • Each day in our nation there are an average of over 5,400 attempts by young people grades 7-12.
Did you see that? OVER five thousand and four hundred people have ATTEMPTED to end their life by the end of each day. Also, did you see that the people who are attempting to commit to a life-changing situation are kids between the ages of thirteen and eighteen? These are kids, I repeat kids. Kids are supposed to be able to feel loved and cared about. Where are we going wrong? We are going wrong when we fail to let our kids, friends, and family members know that they are important. This is where it all goes back to, whether it be because of bullies or the lack of support from family.
  • Four out of Five teens who attempt suicide have given clear warning signs
People always say if you tell someone that you are going to commit suicide that they are asking for attention. Honestly, it is okay to ask for attention if you feel like you need to end your life. If you feel so bad about your life and yourself that you feel you need to end it, you should be able to get all the attention you need. People ask for that attention when they are down because they are asking for that attention they never got. All these people are asking for is to be told they are IMPORTANT.
