April 15, 2017, NBA superstar Isaiah Thomas’s sister, Chyna, was killed in a car accident. She was traveling on interstate 5 in Washington. As the cops rushed to the scene of the accident, they found that she had died on the spot. Police say she was driving, and her car all of the sudden started slowly turning left and ended up hitting a metal pole going around 50 MPH. Her big brother, Isaiah, still continues to play, but now it's for a different reason. He said to the reporter after their game 1 win in the second round of the playoffs that, “Basketball, when I’m on the court, it just keeps me going, so, I just do everything for my sister now and that’s all I can do” and that's exactly what he did in game 2. The second game of the series was May 2 and, coincidentally, it would have been his late sister's birthday. Thomas battled with John Wall and the Washington Wizards. He caught fire in the fourth quarter to help send it into overtime. While scoring a quiet 53 points, 29 of it was in the fourth quarter and in overtime, sending the Celtics to Washington with a 2-0 lead in the series.
