A Soldier Surprises His Daughter

On Tuesday in Colorado Springs, Colorado a little girl got a much needed surprise. At the little girl’s elementary school, a man dressed as a lion was reading a story to her class. After the man finished the story he said, “I have a special surprise for someone in here today. Someone has missed you for a very, very long time.” The man called the little girl’s name and gave her flowers then pulled off the costume head and revealed himself. The man was Eric Cook who had spent 10 months in Iraq, Egypt and Kuwait. The little girl was Eric’s daughter. She ran to him shouting “Daddy!” and hugged him. A cousin of the family captured the amazing moment on video.
