Chicago is very close to having the deadliest year, and we still have a ways to go till New Years. So far Chicago has had 500 homicides, the latest just being this past weekend. Compared to places like Los Angeles, it tops them in the death rate, but it isn't the overall deadliest in the country, which goes to New Orleans. What makes this all the more terrifying is that 500 isn't their highest death rate. We'll have to see if there will be any changes in the upcoming months.
