Successful Separation

Staff Reporter Bre Tharp
Conjoined twins born 13 months ago just underwent 27 hours of surgery. The two boys, Anias and Jadon, did very well during the surgery and it was a success. It was the 59th craniopagus separation surgery in the world. It was a difficult decision for the parents to decide whether to have the procedure done, but studies show that 80% of twins conjoined at the head die at age 2 if not separated. The parents took the chance and it was a success. The family is excited and anxious about their future.
