Football Interviews

Our Bulldog senior football players are tired of being asked questions about strategy, pre-game routines and predictions. Hear them discuss other weighty topics.

Veterans Day

Staff Reporter Rowan Gast-Bray
The Veterans Day banquet was an outstanding success! Although we can never fully repay the sacrifices they have made, we gave a valiant effort in making the veterans who attended feel appreciated. There was a hot meal with sweet rolls, gravy and a delicious cupcake. There were speeches, tributes and prayers all in honor of our veterans. The band and choir both gave fantastic and patriotic performances. The most moving scene, however, was during the playing of Taps. The room was silent other than the majestic sound of the trumpets. Many of the veterans slowly began to stand, and several people began to shed tears. I would like to thank all the veterans for their attendance!

Football Behind the Scenes

Staff Reporter Rowan Gast-Bray
I think everybody in our school knows how talented the football team is. They are fifth in the state and are rolling into sectionals with steam in their sails. Local newspapers can tell you that. But, here at the Fetch, we want you to know the football team in a different way, on a much more personal level.
We do not choose to report all of the ins and outs of the team, but we can tell you some interesting things. The linebacker chant is a compelling mantra that goes something like this.                                                     Who are we? Bulldogs
                                What do we do? Hit
                                 How do we hit? Hard
When do we hit? All darn day

And when they are not destroying other teams, the Bulldog football players enjoy goofing around. One funny story included Chase Cope flexing after making a big hit. Many people also cite Trevor Ellis, senior running back and safety, for some of the best comedic relief. However, this goofy team is undeniably talented, and we need to make sure to cheer them on in the tournament.
