My Senior Will

Staff Reporter Rowan Gast-Bray
I, Rowan Gast-Bray, being of sound mind and body will now dictate how my estate will be distributed after my departure from high school. The executor of my will will be Matthew Monaghan. I state that my parking spot in the far corner of the parking lot near the football field should be given to Luis Diego Alcantara Zambrano. My role as enforcer of political correctness on the soccer team will be handed down to Brock Stader. My wrestling shoes will be given to the cutest kid I know, Brycen Denny. Lastly, the keys to my beloved Toyota Corolla, aka Grey Beard, will be passed down to Sam Smith. If you feel like you have been mistakenly left out of my will, remember my love will be passed down to all.

Sheltering Wings

Staff Reporter Sam Smith
Did you know that one out of every three people will be physically, verbally, and/or emotionally abused by his or her significant other? Did you know that out of a group of 40 people, at least 10 will be abused in some way by someone they once cared about? Monrovia High School recently hosted a Sheltering Wings convocation where volunteers from the women's shelter came to  share their stories and to spread the word about abusive relationships. "Little signs like freaking out when you don`t call him or her back, starting to control your social life (which friends you can and cannot talk to) or even needing your passwords to everything can be a sign of an abusive relationship.” If you need help or know someone who needs help, start talking to people you trust.

Seniors Camp Out

Senior students camped out last night on the football practice field. The twenty students had a small campfire, two tents and a couch. The seniors report that they got very little sleep, but still enjoyed the bonding experience.

End of Year Playlist

Staff Reporter Rowan Gast-Bray
I know summer is coming up and suddenly, all of us will have a lot more free time on our hands. Or at least we will be occupied by more interesting things than school. We will have bonfires, lazy days, relaxation at the pool and driving in a car with our windows down and our speakers up. Many fond memories are going to be made, and they are going to need a soundtrack. Here are a few suggestions for your summer playlist.

New Record-Breaker

Staff Reporter Rowan Gast-Bray

Matt Steinke broke the school record for the 300m hurdles at home on Tuesday. The atmosphere could not have been more fitting. It was Track and Field Senior Night. Matt was third all-time last year, and he became determined to be first. He put in work all off-season, focusing on his technique. His effort paid off as his name will stay on the record board after he leaves. When Matt found out he broke the record, he felt a huge weight lifted off of his shoulders. He would like to thank his coach Ms. Hagerty, his teammates and his family. Matt's favorite muffin is chocolate.

Staff Reporter Deana Fishel

Of course if you do end up digging into any of these ideas, send pictures to thebulldogfetch@gmail.com. Share your experience with us!

Tragedy Strikes Nepal

Staff Reporter Rowan Gast-Bray
Natural tragedy struck Nepal recently with devastating effect. An earthquake critically damaged Kathmandu and surrounding villages killing thousands of people with many more injured. Rescue workers have been searching for unaccounted people day and night for the past couple of days, but now there is little hope for those who still remain buried. The main problem now is the safety and well being of the survivors in addition to the effort to rebuild. Clean water and sanitation are crucial in preventing disease outbreak. There is still desperate need for medical supplies for those injured in the disaster. There is also billions of dollars worth of infrastructure to rebuild. They need your help. Click to donate.
