Censored Books

There has been quite a bit of discussion over the censorship of literature. Many parents and community members believe that there are certain topics that should not be read by teenagers such as extreme violence, sex, profanity, witchcraft, and racism. Others greatly disagree in saying that this is unfair to everyone else. If you don’t want your child to read something then don’t let them read it. Why should others be unable to? One person’s opinion should not be able to change an entire society’s reading selection. What do you think? Let us know down in the comments!

Indiana Politics Editorial

Indiana's governor, Mike Pence, revealed he is a supporter of Donald Trump's presidential campaign and feels he will fit in just fine in our Hoosier land. Pence also plans on campaigning quite extensively, because  Indiana "needs a partner in the White House." Well, the two do have a lot in common in terms of humiliating and stripping women of their rights!

Disaster in Kenya

So far in Kenya nine buildings have collapsed; one trapping an infant child in the rubble. She was terribly dehydrated but had no serious injuries from the crumbled building. In the six-story building she was found in, the first floor had sunk. The President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, had ordered a checkup of all the countries buildings to be sure they were up to standard a year ago after eight had already fallen. To anyone’s surprise 58% of the buildings were not safe to live in, or near for that matter. Housing is a supply and demand problem in Kenya, so the builders cut corners in order to finish each house quickly

Volley Ball's Importance

News Staff Reporter Camryn Bradford
To some people this is just a ball. To some people this is just a sport. To some people this is a good time. To some people this is an escape.
To me volleyball is so much more than that. All the memories that can be made and never forgotten with just this ball. All the hard work the players put into the team to be united while playing is well worth every drop of sweat after winning the game.
Honestly, I have not played volleyball for four years. I quit my eighth grade year because my coach upset me, and I never went back. Now, there are some reasons I didn’t go back to playing volleyball. Some of these reasons are moving schools, not knowing the coaches, and more. I deeply regret this now because of all of the memories and fun things I have missed.

All and all, volleyball isn’t just a sport. It is more about all of the fun, memorable times, and becoming close with your team. It is a great sport for anyone who loves to be on-call for duty. A motto for volleyball could be “Get in, get it done, get out!”.
