Trump vs Clinton

Staff Reporter Ariana Delong
Coming up this Monday (September 26th) America will see the presidential debate we've all been waiting for. Donald Trump vs Hillary Clinton. We'll see the former first lady and the outspoken businessman debate it out for an estimated 90 minutes, starting at 9:00 pm. You can watch this on many outlets, including CNN online and on all their networks. We'll see how they both stand on different issues and how they compare to each other in the same building at the same time. Of course we will also see--what I'm sure most people are wondering--what could possibly come out of Trump's mouth next.

Pete’s Dragon Movie Review

Staff Reporter Taylor Moore
Pete’s Dragon is the adventure of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliott, who just so happens to be a dragon. The movie delivered a spectacular recreation of the original 1977 Disney movie although I feel the story was a tad rushed. Overall, it is clearly a movie to peak the interest of anyone. I rate this movie a total 8.5/10.

Petting Zoo Attacked by Dogs

Staff reporter Linsey McCloud
A little farm/petting zoo called Campbell Farm outside of Wapato, Yakima County that was normally peaceful was anything but that Monday morning. A maintenance worker reported a grisly accident Monday morning around 7:30. That still didn’t prepare farm director Carmanita Pimms for what was in store for her. She said she saw Naomi the goat first, “I saw the top part of her nose and mouth were completely gone. I went around the corner and just saw blood smeared on the wall.” There were also two other goats, a pig, and miniature horse dead and a donkey left mauled. Three dogs were still in the corral when animal control arrived: a Pitbull, German Shepherd, and Border Collie. The Pitbull and German Shepherd were shot and the Border Collie was not since it didn’t seem to be disturbing the donkey. The dogs were checked for chips but they didn’t have any, and authorities have concluded they will not be searching for the owners. They have also concluded they are keeping the donkey in a pen closer to the staff house until they feel it’s safe again to put him back in his pen.

Ice Melt in the Arctic

Staff Reporter Dalton Smith
Scientists say that ice levels in the Arctic have shrunk to the second lowest level ever. Every year during the spring and summer the ice melts, but this year has surprised scientists. Ice is important because it keeps the temperature of the oceans in check and also keeps water levels safe. Scientists say that this winter should bring the ice back to normal levels.
