Try these unusual french fry recipes to spice up your dinner plans.
Baked Parmesan Zucchini Fries
1 ½ cup bread crumbs
1 ½ cup parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
½ tablespoon salt
5 zucchini
½ cup all purpose flour
3 eggs
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F
- Spray a cooling rack with nonstick spray and place onto a baking sheet or cover a pan with parchment paper
- In a large bowl combine breadcrumbs, parmesan, garlic powder, salt and pepper
- In a medium bowl beat eggs
- Quarter zucchini lengthwise and then cut in half, makes 8 fries per zucchini
- Place zucchini and flour in a large plastic bag and shake to coat
- Remove zucchini fries from bag and coat in eggs then breadcrumb mixture and place on baking sheet
- Bake for 20-22 minutes until golden brown and crisp
- Enjoy!
Garlic Bread French Fries
1 loaf of French bread
6 tablespoons of unsalted butter
2 tablespoons of olive oil
3-4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
½ teaspoon salt
Pepper to taste
Marinara sauce for dipping
- Preheat oven to 375
- Cut bread in half lengthwise then cut each section in half again and finally cut strips to a length of 3 inches
- Place fries on baking sheet
- Melt butter and olive oil over medium heat, add garlic cook for 45 seconds
- Add parsley, salt and pepper to the pot
- Drizzle butter mixture over fries
- Bake 20-25 minutes until brown and crispy
- Serve with marinara sauce for dipping
Loaded Garlic French Fries
1 bag of frozen french fries
6 cloves of garlic minced
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons canola oil
Chopped parsley to garnish
- Cook fries according to directions on bag
- When fries are cooked place them in a large bowl
- Add garlic and oil to a small pan and heat to medium
- Cook for 15-30 seconds
- Toss fries with garlic oil mixture and salt
- Garnish with parsley and enjoy!
