Even if you don’t watch the Olympics you must have heard of the name Michael Phelps. While growing up in Baltimore County, Maryland, he was always dreaming of winning medals for his country. The thing he didn't realize was that he would end up being the most decorated Olympian in history. On Tuesday of last week, Ryan Lochte and Phelps teamed up to take a gold medal in a two-hundred meter relay with Phelps clocking in a rapid time of 55.78. As of August 10, 2016 he won a two-hundred meter individual medley semifinal against Mr. Lochte, the second most decorated male swimmer in Olympic history. This first place victory was a record-breaking 21st gold medal. Both of these highly decorated men will be advancing to the finals. The next day, August 11, Phelps won his twenty-second gold medal in a 200 meter relay with his friend Ryan Lochte failing to medal.
