Monrovia Solo and Ensemble Band and Choir Results

Congratulations to our Solo and Ensemble competitors!  Group I events are the highest level in which a high school student can perform.  Group I Silver ratings went to choir soloists Grace Faulkenberg, Julie Maude, and band soloists, Taylor Bowling, Ian Bray, Madison Collings, Courtney Edwards, Taylor Fox, Spencer Halcomb, Meghan Johnson, Eli McCrary, Kayla Monts, Lauren Poston, Jason Scaife, Justin Scaife, Jessup Shay, Alexis Singleton, Patrick Skillern, Shelby Small, Zack Stevens, Clayton Stewart, Olivia Stewart, Conner Walts, and Andrew Willett.  Group I Silver ensembles were the saxophone quartet of Zach Woodley, Taylor Stierwalt, Savannah Lanham, Zack Stevens; sax trio of Woodley, Stevens, Lanham; and the brass quartet of Jordan Clark, Andrew Willett, Courtney Edwards, Dakota Lanham.

Group I ensembles earning a Gold rating advance to Solo and Ensemble State Finals.   Monrovia’s Group I Golds included the percussion quartet of Ian Bray, Jessup Shay, Spencer Halcomb, and Ashley Parker; flute quartet of Alexis Singleton, Conner Walts, Taylor Fox, and Abby Willett; and the clarinet trio of Meghan Johnson, Olivia Stewart, Lauren Poston.  Group I Golds went to choir soloist Melanie Courtney and band soloists Nolan Abell, Jordan Clark, Kyliegh Crary, Spencer Halcomb, Dakota Lanham, Savannah Lanham, Betsy McCrary, Garrett Rowland, Greg Steffey, Taylor Stierwalt, Haley Tinsley, Michaela Tucker, and Zach Woodley. 

Non-Group I Silver ratings went to choir soloists Tatum Boswell, Molly Rudzinski, and band soloists Gretchen Brawley, Allison Eisenhut, Spencer Halcomb, Ashley Parker, and Evan Stewart.  Non-Group I Silver rating also went to the choral trio of Renee Whitney, Lauren Bridgewater, and Brook Brennamen.

Non-Group I Gold ratings went to choir soloists Annelise Atwell, Kara Beasley, Brooklyn Belcher, Mackenzie Burton, Ethan Clements, Megan Fletcher, Raymond Maude, Joshua Norris, Lili Riddle, Madeline Shelton, Jacey Small, Loxlie Terry, Sydney Thoma, Austin Thomason, Raychelle Thomason, Mallory Willett, Tessa Williams, Abigail Willis, and band soloists Wade Adair, Jack Atwell, Ethan Barber, Ethan Belcher, Jacob Bryson, TJ Clark, Tyler Corona, Sam Cox, Dana Elliott, Brock Johnson, Mia McCracken, Ashley Parker, Jared Poston, Dominic Vogel, Austin Walts, Morgan Walts, Derrick Willsey, and perfect scores from soloists Sienna Hager, Justin Hobson, and Alex Willett.  Gold rated ensembles were the choral quartet of Melanie Courtney, Sydney Thoma, Madeline Shelton, Grace Faulkenberg; large choral ensemble of Julie Maude, Sarah Ponto, Corina Blackledge, Justice Balay, Makayla Scott, Amber Frayley, Gabby Fisher, Mackenzie Lee, Melanie Courtney, Grace Faulkenberg, Madeline Shelton, Sydney Thoma, Renee Whitney, Lily Kratzer, Brook Brennamen, Bella Shrake; trumpet trio of Andrew Willett, TJ Clark, Alex Willett; and a perfect score from the mixed brass trio of Andrew Willett, TJ Clark, and Wade Adair. 

Solo and Ensemble State Finals will be on February 21 for choir and February 28 for the band, at North Central High School.
