On February 18th, the Monrovia High School French department put on their annual French cafe. The theme this year was A Night In Paris. Many decorations were set up in order to portray this theme with an impressive cardboard Arc de Triumph, blue paper covering the lights to simulate night, twinkle and Christmas lights to simulate stars, and other smaller decorations that tied the whole thing together. As always, many French foods were served at reasonable prices. Overall, the cafe brought in around $820 with expenses ranging in about the $200 area. This still leaves about $620 profit for future cafes and other humanitarian projects. Of course, with there being 2 cafes, there is always a competition so let us know which cafe you think was better, Spanish or French.
