Safe Driving

How hard is it to be a safe driver to in a parking lot? Not very. There are very simple things you can do to lower the risk of wrecking or hitting someone.

  1. Especially for new drivers self confidence is a little stronger than it should be, DO NOT THINK YOU ARE INVINCIBLE! It is unrealistic, and you are not the only one who thinks that. “It’ll never happen to me” is NEVER relevant.
  2. SLOW DOWN! Especially if it's cold and there may be ice. You never know when a pedestrian will come out between cars, and no matter how dangerous they are YOU THE DRIVER are responsible if they get hurt.
  3. PAY ATTENTION! Look far ahead of you, even around cars and bends. There could be a fast driver coming around a bend and cutting into your lane, or pulling through spots to park.

Follow these simple instructions to be a safe driver in a parking lot. You are not the only person driving.
