Tasty Tater Tot Casserole

1 lb ground beef
1 onion chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
16 oz package of tater tots
1 (10.75 oz) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
½ cup milk
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese


  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. In a large skillet brown beef and onion over medium high heat, drain excess fat and salt and pepper to taste
  3. Spread beef evenly over the bottom of a 2 quart casserole dish
  4. Mix soup and milk until smooth and pour over beef
  5. Evenly spread tater tots over beef and then sprinkle cheese over tater tots
  6. Bake for 30-40 minutes until cheese is melted and slightly brown
