Prospering due to winning State last year, the football team is prepared to take on their first game of the season. They are playing Cardinal Ritter this Friday at Lucas Oil Stadium at 6pm. Many people think that losing to Ritter last year was the reason we won state, because it knocked us off our “pedestal.” The team hopes to make their alumni proud by making it far again, possibly even finishing where they are starting. This team practices five days a week. They also have one game a week. I love watching this team play. Not only do they work hard for their team, but they leave their hearts out on the field for our town. This team makes me so proud to call Monrovia “home.” Come out and support your football team this Friday night!
