Disappearance of Two Hikers

Staff Reporter Joe Seals

Two American hikers went to Pakistan to climb one of the highest mountain peaks in the world. They set out to go early August 21st to climb the north face of Ogre. It was supposed to be a five-day climb, but when they did not return to camp, communication to their families started. The peak is 23,000 feet tall and has intense snowstorms this time of year. It also has only been climbed three times since 1977.  The efforts for their rescue has raised over $130,000 to bring them home.
