Today at the European Space Astronomy Center in Madrid, released data from it’s star mapping mission. It shows that the Milky Way is quite larger than anyone believed. They are planning on releasing a more detailed map of the galaxy. The Gaia star is expected to discover new asteroids. Gaia’s primary mission will be over mid-2019.
