Tulsa Officer Gets Charged with Manslaughter

Tulsa police officer Betty Shelby has been booked in the local county jail early this morning. She was shortly released after on 50,000 bond. Shelby has been charged with manslaughter in the shooting that killed Terence Crutcher, an unarmed black man. Shelby is accused of unlawfully and unnecessarily shooting him. The possible penalty for being convicted of first degree manslaughter in Oklahoma is four years.
